Negative Side Waterproofing refers to waterproofing the side of the concrete opposite the side that comes in direct contact with water (basements, holding tanks, tunnels, etc). While waterproofing from the negative side prevents the need for excavation or service interruption, the concern with Negative Side Waterproofing is water moving through the substrate via voids and capillaries delaminating topical waterproofing finishes over time.
Koster's NB-1 cementitious waterproofing system is a unique system: it reacts with moisture and other components in the substrate and crystallizes, penetrating the pores and capillaries of the concrete, becoming a part of the concrete itself and making it permanently waterproof. The NB system also comes in Fast Setting and Elastic formulas to cover almost any application.
NB-1 is a permanent waterproofing system that saves the cost of excavation while offering a worry-free cementitious solution.
